A letter from the newly elected ISAAC President
Dear ISAAC Members,
As the new president of the society, I would first like to express my gratitude for the trust of the ISAAC Board by electing me as the new president of the society.
For the last 4 years, I am deeply grateful to the former president, Uwe Kähler, for his excellent work, very nice collaboration and friendships. In similar ways I am also deeply grateful to the secretary and treasurer Irene Sabadini. ISAAC stays stronger than ever, very much thanks to the efforts and contributions of them, as well as all other Board members.
I welcome Paula Cerejeiras as the new vice-president. I am convinced that she will be very valuable for further developing ISAAC in positive ways together with the secretary and treasurer Irene Sabadini.
Several of us had the pleasure to participate at the last ISAAC Congress (the 15th) at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakstan. The congress was excellent. It was well organized, the dedication among the local organizers was on the top. Evidently, the local organizers did everything they could to ensure we could enjoy and appreciate the event. With this message I thank all those who were involved with the work of this congress. Especially I thank Durvudkhan Suragan for leading everything to this success.
We are now looking forward to new challenges.
